فارسیامروز روز جهانی زن است.
این روز به یاد رهبران زن و فعالان حقوق زنان است که از برابری جنسیتی و عدالت جنسیتی حمایت کردند.
پس از مأموریت UNGA (مجمع عمومی سازمان ملل متحد) در سال 1977، هر سال 8 مارس به عنوان روز جهانی زن نامگذاری شده است.
روز جهانی زن از زمان آغاز به کار خود همچنان به عنوان یک انجمن برای جلب توجه به گفتمان بزرگتر در مورد فراگیری، برابری جنسیتی و بحث در مورد حقوق زنان عمل می کند.
